We first had the privilege of meeting Ashley and Nick during their engagement session and learned of their love for travel. Which was the inspiration for their wedding day theme. They were so much fun, and we knew when the wedding day got here it was going to be a party.
The bridal party started the big day at the DoubleTree Hotel in Westlake, Ohio. This Hotel has a modern feel with lots of natural light. I loved the two fireplaces the lobby/lounge offered as well as a grand piano, great for those rainy days to get inside photos.
The couple was surrounded all day by an amazing bridal party, family, and friends. Large bridal parties can sometimes be a challenge, but we soon learned that there was never too much they could do for the bride and groom. They were so full of energy and fun to work with.
The Ceremony and Receptions took place at The Lake Erie Building in Lakewood, Ohio. One of our new favorites to shoot. The venue is one of the largest spaces, holding up to 450 guests, in the Cleveland-Lakewood area to hold your wedding event. Also known as the Screw Factory, the venue boasts an industrial loft style space with tall 14ft ceilings and grand windows, giving it a raw and neutral feel.
The Groom was well suited in a Navy Tuxedo with Ruby Red Tie.
Ashley was stunning in her classic lace, modified A-Line fit, wedding gown. She chose bold colors of Rose and Navy for her bridal party with hand-tied bouquets boasting lots of lush flowers and greenery.
We used the front of the Screw factory for the romantic first look. The emotions in the pictures speak for themselves.
There were so many sweet moments including when Ashley’s Dad toasted the couple. And when he reached down to give his beautiful daughter and new son-in-law a hug and kiss, I melted.
The couple’s first dance as they gazed into each other’s eyes and it was like the world disappeared around them. All the energy, joy and laughter of their family and friends as they celebrated the beginning of this sweets couples lives together.
