We met Christina and Anthony for the first time while photographing Sophia and Teddy’s wedding reception in Warren, Ohio at the St Demetrios Community Center. It’s crazy how fate intervenes, one day we get a call from this lovely couple from Columbus, Ohio and learn they were guests at an event we were working that next weekend.
St. Demetrios Orthodox Church is historically referred to as “The Jewel on High Street”. The churches exterior design does not do it justice until you view the exceptional interior decorations, with sacred pictures and icons, the mosaic artistry, sculptures along with the stained glass windows. This was a perfect location for this gorgeous couple to start the beginning of their lives together.
Christina got ready at one of the rooms of the Avalon Inn where she donned her gown from the dress designer Demetrios. Another crazy part of the day, because I also wore a Demetrios gown for my wedding too.
With this being a Winter Wedding in February and in Ohio, we had to make haste so our couple and their bridal party didn’t get too cold. The Avalon Inn Ballroom in Warren, Ohio offered a stunning setting after the ceremony to captures some romantic images of the couple and their bridal party.
I loved the couple’s choice of bold gold details for their reception. The cake was so unique and the tree branch table decorations were stunning. My advice for future brides is to invest in uplighting for your event.
The couple celebrated the night with a bunch of traditional Greek style traditions including music and dances such as the Kalamatiano and the Zeibekiko.
